The Barbican Supplies Ltd story
From Smithfield Meat Market to purpose-built facilities in Tottenham, our family firm has grown through a commitment to top-quality products and excellent customer service.
Founded in 1990 by Brian Higgins Snr, Barbican Supplies Ltd, is a family-run business with three generations working together - all of whom have key roles within the company. We first opened our doors 34 years ago on Smithfield Market, now we operate in Tottenham, North London, with a state-of-the-art-factory, built to our own specifications. The purpose-built facility, meets all the demands of EU and UK legislation. Our premises are EEC approved and our practices are monitored by Food Standards Agency (FSA). Passing our regular FSA inspections, has enabled us to build long-term relationships with many clients in the health sector. These include both private and public sector organisations, including NHS hospitals, care homes, schools, colleges, hotels, and restaurants and more.

Brian Higgins Jnr
Managing Director
Brian Jnr has been with the company since its inception in 1990.
His experience and knowledge of the meat industry is second to none and is utilised on a daily basis to ensure that Barbican Supplies are always at the very forefront of our industry and can cater to your meat supply needs.
Paul Konte
Operations Manager
Paul initially joined the company in 1991 gaining valuable knowledge in all aspects of meat production. Paul went on to work and gain experience in the trade, including positions on Smithfield market, and most notably heading up meat production for the world-famous Harrods meat department. Paul is on hand to advise and answer any questions you may have regarding your company’s requirements.
Teri Higgins
Financial Director
With over 30 years of service at Barbican Supplies Teri Higgins controls all aspects of our financial affairs ensuring that accounts are kept up to date and accurate at all times. Teri is available to assist with all account enquiries and with implementing the appropriate terms that suit your business requirements.
Bradley Higgins
Assistant Director
Since leaving full time education 22 years ago, Bradley has gained extensive experience in all aspects of our operation. Now a master butcher with a keen eye for quality, he ensures that our meat supplies match the expectations of every customer, and he is currently spearheading our expansion plans for the future.
Production Team
The knowledgeable production team at Barbican Supplies Ltd are second to none, with over 100 years of experience of the butchering trade between them.
Transport Team
